Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak is known as “America’s Mountain”. Located just 15 miles west of Colorado Springs on Hwy 24, it has free shuttles available each day from Memorial Day weekend to around mid-October to take you to the top of this 14,000-foot peak. Enjoy picnic areas, hiking trails, and spectacular views. It’s best to start early and be back down in the early afternoon due to the potential for lightning and thunderstorms.

Royal Gorge Bridge & Park

Located just west of Canon City, Colorado, The Royal Gorge Bridge is an engineering wonder. Completed in 1929, the Royal Gorge Bridh & Park has become the most popular attraction in Canon City. The bridge is 1260 feet long, 18 feet wide, and is about 965 feet from the surface of the Arkansas River. Sometimes the question arises as to why the bridge was built and where does it go? The answer? To the other side. The Park is open 365 days a year.

Tour the Olympic Training Center

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Complex in Colorado Springs is the flagship training center for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center programs. USA Swimming and USA Shooting have their national headquarters on the complex. More than 15 other member organizations, as well as two international sports federations and the USOC headquarters are also located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
