As the name states, this inn is right across the road from a beautiful Cañon City park. It’s very close to the Royal Gorge Route Railroad and WAO Rafting.
Cañon City EconoLodge
Located in easy walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants, and bars this accommodation has an indoor pool and hot tub and is across the road from the Royal Gorge Route Railroad and 1 mile to WAO rafting company.
Great little place, very affordable and clean. Close to downtown. Friendly staff.
This property is on the east end of town. It offers free internet, free breakfast, and an indoor pool.
Quality Inns and Suites
This property is one of the few full-service hotels in the Royal Gorge Region. It offers a bar and grill, billiard room, swimming pool, and several hot tubs in the “Garden room.” It’s on the east end of town.
This is at the east end of Cañon City, and you will need to cross town to get to any activities or attractions. But Canon City is a small town, and it’s 10 minutes to anything.
Holy Cross Abbey
This is a great option for youth groups, scout troops, or any large group involving “kids on a budget.”
Options at “the Abbey” include dorm-style lodging, camping, and full meal plans. Our advice is to book early if this is something that appeals to your group.
Pizza Madness is located downtown and is very popular locally. Some say this is the best pizza in the county. It’s a great place to take the kids or scout troop after your raft trip. While pizza is the main offering here, they also make several excellent sandwiches and salads. It’s best to call ahead if you are bringing in a group.
Big Burger World
This is a favorite among our staff in the office. The “big burgers” are huge@ We also recommend the fresh strawberry shake made with actual fresh strawberries.
Owl Cigar Store
This downtown bar and grill used to be a cigar store. They serve burgers, shakes, beer, and anything else you would expect to find in a bar. This is a local favorite and where our guides constantly send people to.
